ALI is more than a place to get great resources, news
and curriculum. It is also a vibrant, international,
online community of educators. The opportunities below
describe some of the ways you can get involved. Don't
forget, ALI membership is required to participate.
|

Weigh
in on High Stakes Testing. With state and nationwide
testing getting national attention, we have created
a forum for educators to get into the conversation.
Do you think that student performance on tests should
affect school funding? Share experiences, voice your
opinion, and read what others are saying on this issue.

Is your school making news with innovations in education?
Publish your stories
with us. Contribute ALI news about new and exciting
technologies, innovative programs, break-through policies,
and controversial education issues. |

Within a week of publishing this special feature ALI
community member, Jonathan Yorck sent us an email telling
us about how involving his class in the creation of
a class home page has boosted literacy skills. Read
his story on the Primary Literacy Examples page
then send us your story ali@apple.com.
Be sure to include your name, the name of your school
and the full text of your story. |

Share all of the ways you make a difference in your
classroom by authoring
an ALI Unit of Practice. Each approved unit can
be enhanced by attachments and will be correlated to
state and national standards. |

Do you know of other great webpages we missed? Contribute
your favorite links to the ALI resource database.
The best resources will be published on our front pages
and in curriculum features. |

Before you can make contributions to the ALI community,
