This course: introduces the contents of the K-6 Multimedia kit shows you model student projects that demonstrate multimedia authoring in elementary classrooms teaches you how to use the software tools in the kit to complete the student projects and enhance other classroom activities provides you with opportunities for collaboration Throughout, the course is flexible. You can join the course at any time and you can do your work when and where it's convenient for you. Collaborate: Though this course is self-paced, you are not alone. Other educators who share your interests are taking this course at the same time. As you work through the course, you will find opportunities for collaboration with these educators as well as with a course mentor. To find other educators, click the Course Forum link. There you will find a folder called "Who Are the People in Our Neighborhood?" Go to this folder now and post a short message introducing yourself. While you are there, read the postings of fellow educators to get an idea of who is taking the course with you. Prerequisites This is a beginner's course so no extensive computer knowledge is necessary. To be successful, you only need to know how to use the mouse (click and drag, open and close documents, open and close windows and applications).
