Rivier College graduate students practice using assistive technology.
Navigating the Web
For this part of the project students were given a WebQuest activity (see Student Work section) that asked to explore the topic of assistive technology.
The WebQuest served as a stepping off point for the students. Students began their WebQuest at www.schwablearning.org and were asked to complete a pre-test of their knowledge of assistive technology.
After the pre-test, students explored the world of assistive technology by finding the answers to questions on the WebQuest activity.
Once this was complete, students began to explore and find information on how to conduct a software evaluation.

The Technology Fair
The culmination of the project was the Technology Fair. In this clip, one student describes how technology can be utilized to enhance social interaction and academic learning for students with significant communication difficulties.
