Preparing the Teacher to Teach
divider
Jet Propulsion Laboratory Link Many of the ideas used in generating this lesson were learned during the teacher’s two week visit to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA in the 2002 summer, as part of NASA’s Educational Workshop, sponsored by the National Science Teacher’s Association. During those two weeks the teachers met many of the engineers who were involved in developing non-manned space craft to be used by NASA’s future missions.
Additionally, workshops on Microsoft Powerpoint and Internet Explorer taken in the past were helpful in creating the presentation. Anyone who has not used Powerpoint in the past should be familiar with the program before creating the multimedia presentation this teacher created for this lesson.
