GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Our goal is to develop an interdisciplinary project on the subject of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

Students will create a PowerPoint presentation that will represent a travel brochure about how the Scotland of the Macbeth era compares with the Scotland of today.

Six specific regions of Scotland important to the play will be researched and developed into a travel brochure for “THEN” and “NOW.”

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Classes will meet together in the business computer lab for five class periods. 12 groups will be formed. Two groups will be assigned each of the regions and will have three topics to research “then” and “now.” There will be one business student, one geography student, and two or three English students in each group.

  2. Background information and homework assignments to begin the research have already been assigned.

  3. Use Inspiration software to organize and plan your project. Samples are attached.

  4. Create a PowerPoint presentation using 12 slides to create your travel brochure. You will need to get together with the other group doing your region and add their three different topics to combine and create one brochure with all six topics covered.

  5. Print out your presentation after using spellcheck and proofreading carefully. Print each slide in full page view.

  6. SUGGESTED TIMELINE
Day One - Compile research and begin organization with Inspiration.
Day Two - Complete Inspiration organization.
    Day Three- Begin PowerPoint presentation.
Day Four - Continue on PowerPoint presentation.
    Day Five - Complete project.
