Ann jpeg I grew up in Manchester and graduated from Immaculate High School. I attended Dartmouth College and received my undergraduate degree from Wellesley College. I pursued graduate studies in Drama and received my M.A. from The Catholic University of America. After a number of years being self-employed in theatre as an actress, director, and teacher, I returned to school in order to earn my teaching certification. More recently, I took a year-long sabbatical leave in order to study Literature and Art at Simmons College in Boston.

I have been teaching English for four years at Manchester High School West, where I am also advisor to the Class of 2003. Prior to this, I taught Drama and English for nine years at Frederick High School in Frederick Maryland. I now teach both British Literature and Shakespeare. Each summer, I return to the Washington area to direct children in musical productions at Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo, Md.

This is my second year of involvement with the (TIP) Technology Infusion Project with Southern New Hampshire University and the Manchester School District. After developing an “Island Survival” interdisciplinary project last year, the Be inSpired Cool Team has this year developed a “Macbeth Travel Brochure” project which involves Business, English, and Social Studies classes.

During my spare time, I enjoy skiing. Also, I absolutely love to travel. Ireland and Italy are among my favorite destinations. My students have now provided me with an excellent itinerary for Scotland!
