How do I navigate through Exhibits?
When you first reach an Exhibit, you will be taken to the Introduction page. You can choose to view the asset on the page or click one of the components listed in the right panel to view another page. You can continue to navigate through your choice of pages viewing whichever assets you like.
What plug-ins do I need for optimal viewing of Exhibits?
Many of the media assets contained in Apple Learning Interchange Exhibits require appropriate browser plug-ins for viewing. Make sure you have the following browser plug-ins or click the links to download the plug-ins you need:
- QuickTime 6 - The latest version of the QuickTime Plug-in is required to view QuickTime videos, which feature the MPEG-4 standard. The plug-in will be automatically placed in the correct browser folders when you download and install the latest version of QuickTime from Apple's site.
- Acrobat Reader - An Acrobat Reader browser plug-in is required to view PDF files. The plug-in may already exist in your browser plug-in folder if you already have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you need to download and install Acrobat Reader and its plug-ins, visit Adobe's download site for Acrobat Reader.

How do I configure my browser to view PDF attachments inline?
Many of the Exhibits in the Apple Learning Interchange contain PDF attachments that support their educational practice. If your browser is not configured to view the files inline, they will either be saved to your hard drive or opened in an Acrobat Reader window. If you would like to configure your browser to view PDF files inline, visit the instructions for Mac OS browsers and Windows browsers on Adobe's support site. (Note: OS X does not currently support inline browsing of PDF files.)
How do I use the Standards Correlation Engine? Some of the Exhibits on the Apple Learning Interchange have standards associated with them. In these exhibits, the drop-down menu at the top of the page may be used to correlate the standards for the Exhibit with a wide array of other state and national standards.
What do I need to know about application file helpers?
When viewing Exhibits on Apple Learning Interchange, you may click a link that automatically downloads a file to your computer. In most cases, your browser will already be configured for specific applications to handle or open specific files. However, you may download some files that your browser does not know how to handle. In that case, you will need to know how to configure your browser so the appropriate applications file helpers are assigned to files you choose to download.
