Westward HO!
Westward HO! is a five week online classroom project that will allow your students to become "pioneers" as they travel along the Oregon Trail. They will assume real identities, organize into wagon families, trade and barter for livestock and supplies, and discuss their adventures, challenges, and triumphs throughout the project. Mrs. Sumner conducted this project with her 4rth grade eMINTS classroom. Click on the graphic above to visit this Web site to learn more about their experiences and perhaps begin this online project in your own classroom.

Project Groundhog
Project Groundhog allows teachers to meet specific standards and objectives in science, math, social studies, and language arts. Students explore whether or not the groundhog is an accurate weather predictor by monitoring and recording daily temperature and sky conditions for the six weeks following February 2. Students are introduced to basic statistical analysis, charting, and graphing. Click on the graphic above to learn more about this project.
