One of ALTEC's largest projects is the work they complete on behalf of the High Plains R*TEC.
The HPR*TEC develops online resources for teachers and students. HPR*TEC resources are:
accessed by over 133,000 teachers and students daily;
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for its unique areas of specialized knowledge and expertise;
visited by over 3 million teachers and students each month;
referenced by more than 15,000 sites on the Web;
ranked in the top 1% of most visited sites on the Web. It is more popular, in terms of use, than any other US Department of Education funded technical assistance provider except the Department's own Web site.
The HPR*TEC region includes Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming, covering 2.7 million students and 173,300 teachers, offers a tremendous network of experts. Many other states and countries utilize our resources as well.
