HPR*TEC
The HPR*TEC mission is to help teachers and other educators create, share, or find solutions to problems they encounter when integrating technology into education. Use our free site to network with other teachers, learners, and planners through a unique system supporting collaboration and resource sharing.

On our Web site teachers and students will find a combination of development and collaboration tools and resources, designed for online access, that address the problems teachers face daily. They will support attempts to integrate technology into education as well as resources for carrying out professional growth and development. Over 2.5 million teachers and students interact with HPR*TEC resources monthly.

As one of 10 R*TECs funded by the U.S. Department of Education, we want to be a part of your network for solving the problems you encounter while integrating technology into education. Our region of Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming, covering 2.7 million students and 173,300 teachers, offers a tremendous network of experts. Many other states and countries utilize our resources as well.

PT3
The Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) Project goal is to strengthen teacher preparation programs to provide high quality instruction using, and in the use of, advanced information technologies. We work to carry out the goal of PT3 through our catalyst and supplemental projects designed to energize and support a community of learners in teacher preparation programs. In our Catalyst grant we work with partners from the teacher preparation programs in the five state region of Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Collectively, the projects: Integrate telecommunication technologies into both the content and process of education to foster collaboration, and outreach to over 300 PT3 grants funded by the U.S. Department of Education, grow the national PT3 presence through the development of resources and facilitation of the national intranet for grantees.

Learning Associates Network
The Learning Associates Network provides teachers with a way to further contribute to the demand for shared knowledge, to guide others through the myths and promises of technology, and to share simple and effective ways to begin--and continue. Teacher-leaders are encouraged to join the Network and make your lessons learned available to others.

The Learning Associates Network is designed to:

  • Promote teachers who are leading the way with effective integration techniques for technology and project-based learning
  • Offer teachers a venue to conduct professional development workshops for others
  • Provide a vital network and support structure for teachers who share similar work and teaching strategies

The Learning Associates Network has just initiated its first cadre of 45 associates.
