Jayne James, Associate Director, ALTEC
Jayne really enjoys working as one of the Associate Directors of ALTEC. She serves as the Director for the High Plains R*TEC and the Director of the 21st Century Chautauqua - PT3.org, part of the Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology initiative.
Although Dr. James’ primary responsibility is to coordinate activities with current and potential partnerships and alliances associated with state and national organizations, her background includes experience with integrating technology into teaching at all levels of education, elementary through graduate classes. Jayne also loves to find time to fine-tune and grow her skills in digital media development.
Melissa Brown, Project Manager, ALTEC
Melissa Brown manages a technical team at ALTEC that provides web design and programming services to grant-funded projects who partner with ALTEC to showcase their educational content on the Web.
Melissa currently works on projects such as, Power of 2, Transition Coalition, and Special Connections. Her participation in a wide variety of projects brings a unique perspective to our showcase of exhibits.
Erica Schaapveld, Project Manager, ALTEC
Erica Schaapveld manages the 4Teachers Team at HRR*TEC, which provides free online tools and resources for teachers. Ms. Schaapveld takes part in the inception and development of online tools. Over the last few years she has worked closely with students and teachers who are integrating technology into their classrooms.
She also participates in dissemination activities by presenting information in a variety of modes, including written publications, online publications, face-to-face presentations, and hands-on workshops.
Saunder James, Videographer, ALTEC
Saunder James assists with video-related projects at ALTEC or projects within CRL or the School of Education that require Webcasting.
Saunder currently works on projects such as Kids Vid and the ALTEC Learning Interchange.
