Leadership Practice:
KAL-Tech: Education Leadership Though A 21st Century Lens

INTRODUCTION

EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT IT!

Well, perhaps not everyone, but over half of the superintendents and building principals in Kansas have taken part in KAL-Tech over the last year and a half and Academy Six is full, with waiting list room only!

The Kansas Academy for Leadership in Technology (KAL - Tech), is designed to address the major issues involved in creating and strengthening effective leadership for tomorrow's schools today. The Academy training addresses best practice and innovation in school planning and improvement efforts, enhancing learning and student achievement, and the integration and effective use of information technologies.

Together with a professional mentor, each Academy participant joins and participates in a Distributed Learning Organization meeting monthly with peers in a forum for continuous learning, and develop an Individualized Action Plan that integrates instructional technology into their schools existing School Improvement Plan.
