Technology Integration:
Seeing is Believing - Technology Integration in Practice

INTRODUCTION

Students develop into engaged learners when technology tools become a seamless part of their curriculum. Technology integration can be described as the embedding of technology resources – including computers, digital cameras, CD-ROMs, software applications, the Internet, PDAs, and GPS systems – in the daily practices of a classroom and in the management of a school. Technology integration has happened when a child or a teacher doesn’t stop to think about the tools: the use of technology is routine. Technology integration can change classroom dynamics, encouraging project-based learning and constructivist thought.

There are many examples in this exhibit highlighting programs where technology tools have become an important aspect of teaching and learning.
