Teaching Practice Geometry in Architecture: Students Design Schools ASSESSMENT
Teacher Assessment
Teacher Eeva Reeder evaluates each student project based on quality and accuracy, clarity and presentation, and concept. She also evaluates teamwork (participation, level of involvement, quality of work as a team) during the course of the project and at the end.
Student Team Assessment
Each team member evaluates his/her contribution to the team, including the ability to resolve conflicts as they arise, use resources efficiently, and accomplish a given task.
Professional Architects
At the culmination of the project, each student team makes a short oral presentation to a small panel of architects who view the students' work, ask follow-up questions, and complete a scoring sheet. They consider each project on the basis of thoughtful use of the given site, quality of architecture (i.e., form supports function), quality of presentation, and accountability (i.e., the overall cost is justified).
